I really love interesting board games. My 5-year-old son also loves them))) Since my husband is not a fan of games, I have to buy something that would be interesting for me to play and understandable for my son.
This game lured me in because... We already have several successful games from this company and they are inexpensive. I didn’t find any reviews for this game at the time of purchase and the rules were inside the box. I had to buy it to try.
Brought it, got the rules. didn't understand anything.
We assembled the game. We started playing and figuring things out as we went along. The three of us played (sometimes we manage to get my husband involved). We changed roles and reread the rules several times. They still didn’t understand how to win the wolf in this difficult battle. They postponed the game, I was upset.
The next day, second attempt. I re-read the rules a hundred times again. The brain caught a new detail - “THE WOLF WHILE WALKING, IF HE STOPS ON THE KID’S CAGE, IT WILL RETURN HIM TO THE START”, and it is not necessary to walk all the moves (2,3). You can do as little as you want. And again, 1000 attempts to win against my son as a wolf and nothing.
In the evening, the third attempt at the game with my husband and with a new detail already thought up - “THE KID WALKS ONLY FORWARD” (left and right are not allowed, if two bricks in front fell - the kid lost). And again everything is not the same. It's some kind of stupid game of luck.
Well, the game doesn't work at all. Everything seems so thought out, everything is so interesting. But the rules are so incomprehensibly written, there are apparently so many pitfalls that we can’t figure out what the secret is to a successful, interesting equal game between the wolf and the kids.
Our only remaining last guess is that there must be FIVE players. And no less. Then maybe the kid can walk sideways, because the rules don’t say that this is prohibited.
In general, I had to postpone the game until better times, although my son likes it anyway. But as I wrote initially, our game should also be interesting to me :)))
The games in the Fix Price store turned out to be acceptable. The Wolf and the Little Goats is our budget game, which we really like.

We began to choose to read the information on the boxes and eventually agreed that the board game Wolf and the Little Goats from PLAY the GAME would be the most interesting, as it seemed to us.

Of course, when they started assembling the bridge, the child began to get nervous that she couldn’t attach the first bricks to the arches of the bridge, but I helped her with this, and everything else went like clockwork, easily and naturally. She really enjoyed assembling the bridge brick by brick, since my child is diligent and diligent and loves to assemble unique construction sets, although with the last bricks she had to turn to her mother for help again. But cardboard with a picture of a river really helps in the construction of a bridge; it is intended precisely to support the bricks on the bridge during its assembly.
Having successfully assembled the bridge, we began to play, the game really turned out to be very interesting and easy and relaxed, everything was very fun, which pleased me and her.
It's a pleasure to hold all the parts of this wonderful set in your hands; they are not flimsy, but rather dense and made of hard plastic. Also, all the details are quite colorful, but the colors are not harsh, but pleasant and do not irritate the eyes.
After the game, everything was quickly assembled, even despite the large number of all the parts.

We play it periodically, and my child has still not lost interest in this board game. On the side of the package there is information about the manufacturer and importer. Here is the composition, material of manufacture, there are warnings and recommendations to play under the supervision of adults. It's better for adults to play with children.
The game requires preliminary preparation. What this preparation consists of is indicated on the back of the package.
First we need to build a bridge. This is not such a simple task, despite the detailed instructions. The bricks of the bridge tend to slip, the assembly sequence must be followed.
You also need to first prepare the wolf and the kids. The set contains 4 pieces - kids, one wolf and a tool for destroying a bridge. Stickers with images of animals must be placed on plastic chips. Stickers are included on a separate sheet.
One chip for the goat turned out to be defective, the size did not match. This is not critical and does not interfere with the game.
The rules of the game are given on the leaflet. The rules are quite clear: the wolf is in the middle of the bridge, the kids are at the edges. The kids move from one side to the other.
Participants take turns throwing the dice. The wolf and the kids have different cubes. Players, depending on the side that appears on the dice, either make moves, or destroy the bridge by taking out a brick from it (the wolf does this), or rebuild it (the kids are great).
It's fun to play. It's very noisy here. At the same time, we develop fine motor skills by restoring the bridge. We learn to adequately accept defeats and rejoice in our own and others’ successes.
High-quality parts, but difficult to play without adults
Once again I am convinced that you cannot go shopping with children. Another game from Fixprice for 199₽. This time a board game based on the fairy tale “The Wolf and the Little Goats”. The length of the bridge parts can hardly fit into the box, so it is not very convenient to store; the box is constantly squeezed out from the back side. I found a way out - I sealed the other side with tape. The quality of the parts amazed me, the plastic is at the level of expensive toys from Children's World, the colors are bright and saturated, the material is odorless, durable and strong. There are no very small parts, so you can play with even little ones. Stickers with realistic images of animals, an angry wolf), cute little goats, cubes with unusual designs. A beautiful photo of a mountain river on double-sided cardboard under the bridge, I really wanted to get there).
The idea of the authors is very interesting, you can play for a long time, but be sure to under the supervision of a nervously balanced adult, who will repair the bridge every now and then; the child may not have enough patience and dexterity.
The point of the game is that the goat players must cross a mountain river along a bridge on which a wolf is waiting for them. The moves of the cubes are regulated. The problem is that the parts of the bridge themselves are poorly attached, in theory, the bridge is supposed to be flimsy and the kids need to not fall)), but sometimes it just drives you crazy, as soon as you do it, everything collapses again. On the other hand, the game helps develop perseverance, dexterity, ingenuity, and teaches you to control your emotions. You can understand the instructions for the game if you wish, or come up with your own rules.
It doesn’t reach 5 stars, for the useless “hammer”, which can hardly be called a hammer). But everything is fine, I recommend it, the main thing is that the children are happy and have fun.
