II. Teacher's opening speech. (The teacher talks against the background of smooth music).

Peasant children were ordered to enter the estate. Behind the stone fence, the ancient park was densely green, and birds sang there, as if in a forest. A cleanly marked birch alley, a pond quietly glowing from behind the trees - that’s all that could be seen if you looked through the wide gate with round turrets. And somewhere there, in the depths of the park, in a large house lived a rich and noble count. And the boys were surprised when they heard that the count was calling them to the estate! There was talk throughout all the villages. Why is the Count calling them? He says he wants to teach them to read and write.

At that time there were few schools in cities, and even fewer in villages. Rarely was there a literate person in the village. Most often it was some kind of sexton. And the whole village came to bow to him.

The children silently approached the white count's house and stopped. The two-story house seemed huge to them, because they themselves grew up in low huts under thatched roofs. The kids stood and waited for the count.

The Count (boy with a beard) comes out

The Count came out onto the porch - broad-shouldered, strong, with a black beard. The guys became slightly shy when he looked at them with a sharp look from under his thick eyebrows. But the count smiled and spoke - and immediately all the timidity disappeared, everything became simple, good. Friendship began from the first meeting. And then arose a love for the teacher, which for many children remained in their hearts for the rest of their lives.

The teacher was a count, he was supposed to be called “your excellency.” But the count did not want this.

Count: “Don’t call me “Your Excellency,” he said, “but my name is Lev Nikolaevich, so call me.”

We present to you a literary quiz based on the story of the famous writer Leo Tolstoy “Filipok”. Before we start talking about the story itself, a few words about the author of the work on which our quiz is based.

Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy is a very famous writer. He wrote many thick and smart books. For example, “Anna Karenina”, “War and Peace”, “Cossacks”... But this famous writer, like all of us, was born somewhere. And he had both a father and a mother.

So, the future writer Leo Tolstoy was born on August 28, 1828 in the Krapivensky district of the Tula province, on the Yasnaya Polyana estate. Leo was the fourth child in the family. When he was not yet two years old, his mother died. After some time, their father suddenly died. A distant relative T.A. took over the upbringing of orphaned children. Ergolskaya.

Lev Nikolaevich remained in Yasnaya Polyana until 1840. Then the children moved to Kazan, to a new guardian - their father’s sister.

Following the brothers Nikolai, Dmitry and Sergei, Lev decided to enter the Imperial Kazan University. And he entered the Faculty of Oriental (Arabic-Turkish) Literature as a self-employed student. That is, the family paid for his education. Based on the results of the year, I received a failure. Didn't pass the transition exam and had to retake the first year program. To avoid repeating the course, he transferred to law school. Leo Tolstoy stayed there for less than two years.

In 1904, the writer recalled: “...For the first year...I did nothing. In the second year I began to study... there was Professor Meyer, who... gave me a work - a comparison of Catherine's "Order" with Montesquieu's Esprit des lois "The Spirit of the Laws". ...I was fascinated by this work, I went to the village, began to read Montesquieu, this reading opened up endless horizons for me; I started reading Rousseau and dropped out of university precisely because I wanted to study.”

In July 1852, Leo Tolstoy sent the first part of his future autobiographical trilogy, “Childhood,” to the editorial office of the most popular magazine at that time, Sovremennik. It was published. Both readers and literary critics liked the story... Thus began the literary activity of the famous writer. The Wikipedia article takes up a huge amount of space. Full of links and facts from the creative biography of the classic. Anyone who wants to get to know Lev Nikolaevich’s life and his work better can read everything there. We have no goal of diving so deeply into this vast ocean.

The story “Filipok” is included in a collection specially written by the famous writer for children. It's called "New ABC". This collection includes, among other things, many short stories. Tolstoy reworked each of them many times. He said that children are “the strictest judges in literature. It is necessary that stories for them be written clearly, entertainingly, and morally.”

But why is the alphabet new? Because the collection “New ABC” is L.N.’s second attempt. Tolstoy to publish an educational book for children. The first attempt, a collection called “ABC,” was met with hostility by critics. That's why it's new. The writer took the criticism into account and got to work...

In January 1875, the revised version was ready; the author called it “New ABC”. Four months later it came out of print...

The story about Filip is a story about a boy who wanted to study. Like this. To solve the quiz, you would do well to read this story. And a little about its author too.

Good luck!
